Finally the supply ship from Denmark arrived. The ice made it difficult to unload the containers but in the end they suceeded and now the shop is full of fresh fruit and vegetables for a few days. M/S Arina Artica is a 283 TEU container ship build in Frederikshavn. She carries a helicopter aft for ice observations. |

July 6th 2007 After a long trip via Iceland my sister Astrid and I have finally reached Ittoqqortoormiit (impossible to spell and pronounce) - a little village on the East Coast of Greenland where our mother works as a nurse. In Iceland we went riding on the small, dusty Icelandic Horses.

In Greenland the weather is nice and the sun shines 24 hours a day. First we landed in Kulusuk International Airport and then we proceeded to Constable Point.

The village of Ittoqqortoormiit. The ice is almost about to break up, which is good since the supply ship is coming next week. It has been almost a year since the last ship was here, so everybody is looking forward to its arrival.
